I just finished the chapter on the Red Planet and how it relates to the Arizona territory. And also on the Hollow Earth...yes you can get to the Hollow Earth through deep mines and caverns. As I was writing that up the name "Warriors of the Hollow Earth" popped into my head. Now, I don't need yet another distraction so I'm not even considering a Hollow Earth RPG, but what it made me think of was why I didn't call Gunslinger "Warriors of the Wild West"? That would connect it to Warriors of the Red Planet. Now I'm rethinking the whole name of the game and wondering if it is too late to change it or if I should even consider that idea at all. So what is left? - A few monsters to finish up for the Critters section
- Random Tables section
- Adventure Hooks & Ideas section
- Maps
- Wrap up the On The Arizona Hills adventure
- Remaining art
And I think that will be it.

I think the name is a great idea. I imagine you should note it on the Kickstarter page. But, I'll enjoy it whatever the final name ends up being...

I think the name is a great idea. I imagine you should note it on the Kickstarter page. But, I'll enjoy it whatever the final name ends up being... We'll see. I floated the idea to the Backers. Gunslinger is catchy and evocative which is why I settled on that name in the first place. But adding "Warriors of the..." turns it into a series, which I like too.

Have to agree that the added "Warriors of the....." does extend this, and the Mars game into an extended series. With a possible "Warriors of the Hollow Earth" in the near future, or not so near, to be part of the set. I'm already thinking about a plot device to link them all together. But honestly, I would enjoy either title.

Both are great. I do like "Gunslinger" a bit more. It leaves it more "open ended" The gamers who want to go the Weird West route (which I enjoy) can, and the players who want a more "authentic" western game would gravitate to the title as well.

Getting about time for another UPDATE.
Completed: Random Tables Random NPC generator Critter Stat Block explanation Treasure Table (tailored to the western genre)
Progress on: Critters Random Adventure Hooks (I'm aiming for at least 20 good ones) General editing throughout the book, I keep combing through for typos and areas for the text to be more clearly written. ART! This is the biggest remaining task at this point.
New Additions: I realized the Movement rules needed some improvement, so rewrote that section. Intoxication rules.

I just sent an update out to the Gunslinger backers with an update on the project. Placeholder wrap-around art, not final The book has been sitting at around 90% done for a while because I keep editing, refining, and rewriting certain sections. I liken it to panning for gold, I don't tend to be very verbose in my writing. I like to make things succinct, which is a much harder way to write. The current todo list looks like this: - Refine Movement Rules
- Tighten Class Abilities
- Fill out Random Encounter Tables
- Finish Critters Section (80% done)
- Fill out Treasure Tables
- Complete On the Arizona Hills adventure (90% done)
- Complete Preview Chapter of Princess of the Red Planet Adventure (50% done)
- Finish Maps
- ~25 Illustrations remaining
Aiming to be done with Gunslinger before the end of the year. Then again I thought this would be done in June. So what do I know? Princess of the Red Planet
Progress on Gunslinger means progress on the Princess of the Red Planet adventure. I have an unhealthy addiction to making covers of books that may or may not ever be published. I've made several experimental covers for the PotRP adventure. While I like the homage to Keep on the Borderlands, there is something about those really old duo-tone module covers that are appealing too.

Any updates? How is this new OGL change affecting your release? Still evaluating the situation, but it will still be released. Maybe even sooner because of this. I'll have more to report once I have a better understanding of what's going on.
